A Survey of Patient Call Center and Communication Strategies: Enhancing Disease Management Service Delivery
This report presents the "benchmark" of information on communication strategies being used to address the fragmented care system and growing chronic-care crisis in America. Via the collaborative efforts of DMAA and Mitretek Systems, this report presents survey data collected from disease management industry leaders. The report explores the current and planned use of various patient-provider communication technologies in disease management; selected characteristics of medical call centers operated for chronic disease management purposes; use of home monitoring devices; and approaches to information exchange between patients
