Disease Management Purchasing Consortium Symposium
Monday, Sept. 8, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
How to Determine if Reported Outcomes are Valid
You can be an informed purchaser of disease management and wellness services or you can be a passive recipient of vendor reports. The difference: An informed purchaser has learned how to critically analyze the validity of outcomes reports by taking this Critical Outcomes Report Analysis (CORA) course. You will learn how to:
- Tell when a "pre-post" result is certainly invalid or probably valid;
- Use "plausibility indicators" to cross-check the validity of high return on investments; and
- Avoid regression to the mean in both disease management and wellness outcomes.
The course is partially taught in the form of a self-test. The answers are provided but, optionally, participants may have their tests formally scored. Join almost 100 purchasers who are qualified for individual or corporate CORA certification.
Faculty: Alfred Lewis, JD, president of the Disease Management Purchasing Consortium International (DMPC) Inc., also is a past president and founder of DMAA. He was named the "most influential person" in disease management by Managed Healthcare Executive magazine. Almost 100 executives have completed his Critical Outcomes Report Analysis certification test.Price:
