Government Affairs CommitteeThe Government Affairs Committee is a standing committee of DMAA and the chair is a member of the DMAA Executive Committee. The Committee is responsible for the development of DMAA position statements on emerging public policy issues. The Committee meets monthly to monitor the health care policy arena and provides members with access to valuable information and research on key federal legislative and regulatory issues. Chair: Christopher Coloian, vice president, Health Advocacy Product, CIGNA HealthCare and Care Allies Medicare SubcommitteeThe Medicare Subcommittee is principally focused on developing DMAA's policy statements on Medicare Health Support, Medicare Advantage, and related issues. Chair: Harry Leider, MD, chief medical officer, XLHealth Medicaid SubcommitteeThe Medicaid Subcommittee is principally focused on developing DMAA's policy statements regarding the utilization of disease and care management programs in state Medicaid settings. Chair: David Rogers, vice president of development, APS Public Programs, APS Healthcare Health Information Technology (HIT) SubcommitteeThe HIT Subcommittee is principally focused on ensuring that chronic care coordination and prevention are core priorities in the development and promotion of health information technology. The Subcommittee advances the notion that HIT is a tool that, when combined with disease and care management programs, can improve health care quality and reduce health care costs.
